interCONNECTIONS - the Mind Body Spirit network

Psychosynthesis

Developed by an Italian Psychiatrist, Dr Roberto Assagioli, at the time of the First World War, this therapy acknowledges the spiritual needs of the patient and that they can access a ‘transpersonal’ or ‘higher’ self. The patient is encouraged through analysis, imagining, movement and meditation, to uncover a new identity whose actions are guided by goodwill towards others and a strong impulse for change within themselves.

Notes: Often sought by those concerned with personal growth or who are confronting a mid-life crisis.
